The original SF Dakila band started in 1972 with a 5 year recording contract with Epic/Columbia Records only to disband after 2 years leaving historical performances at Bill Graham's Fillmore West,
SF Winterland, major clubs in the SF Bay Area and countless universities and festivals.
The self-titled LP can be found on display at the Wing Luke Museum Exhibit for Asian America in Seattle, Washington as well as the Oakland Museum for one of the first Filipino-Americans to record on a major label.
This diverse legendary band was recently put back together by
One if its original musician,singer/songwriter, David Bustamante.

Polynesian Dance Group
Le Ala Polynesian Dance Group is under the direction of Lenna Te'o Malieitulua and her daughter Salamasina. Le Ala has been performing at the local Polynesian Festivals and competing in Solo fetes in Las Vegas and just recently in Long Beach. Le Ala performs dances from Samoa, Tonga, Hawaii and Tahiti. We continue to grow and add more islands to our show.. LE ALA IS Samoan for the Pathway. Our name is inspired by the Samoan proverb, " o le ala i le pule o le tauta". " The pathway to leadership is through service". At Le Ala we teach our dancers that one way to serve others is through dance. It Is always our hope to engage in service, so others may understand, appreciate, know and live our culture.
